Do you have children that won’t sit still? Maybe you have kids who hate having their pictures taken by a professional photographer? If you bring them to the beach and just focus on having fun, without worrying if your clothes get wet or if your hair is in your face, I can guarantee we will get great family portraits. The #1 trick is to not bribe the children! Sounds crazy because I’m sure it’s your usual “go-to” but when your offer a reward for behaving this one time, you set yourself up for failure. If the activity was innately fun, you wouldn’t need a reward. So tell the kids, “we’re about to have a fun beach day” and “Miss Lisa will be taking some photos of us too.” Laughter and giggling ensues……
