Shelley and her husband were having a small ceremony earlier in the day and decided to have family photos on the beach afterwards. Although I don’t photograph weddings anymore, I do photograph happy people on the beach whether JUST married, engaged or otherwise. We headed to Windansea beach to frolic in the sand.

Partly cloudy happens to be my favorite weather conditions for taking family portraits on the beach. This day happened to be one of those that perfectly lends itself to documenting family love.

When we first met, she seemed a shy little girl but then she blossomed right before my eyes. These portraits of Peyton portray her adorable personality. Be prepared to be won over by this happy, silly little soul.  

Dr Sharafi happens to be my oral surgeon. He is a great guy and a has a beautiful family. It was wonderful getting to know him outside of the office, just hanging out at he beach. They picked to have their family photos taken at Scripps Pier in La Jolla, one of my favorites.
