Capturing the Next Chapter as a Coronado Family Photographer

The Boon family is back, and they brought some big news: their wiener dog is officially not the baby of the family anymore. This time, the star of the show was their gorgeous little girl, who completely stole the spotlight during our Coronado beach session.

As a Coronado family photographer (and someone who totally remembers obsessing over their dog in our last shoot), it was such a joy to photograph the Boon family’s newest chapter. We met up on the iconic Coronado Beach near the Hotel Del, with that perfect San Diego backdrop of sun, sand, and waves that could make any photo look like it belongs in a lifestyle magazine.

This family? Total naturals. They showed up looking effortless as ever—mom glowing, dad beaming, and their baby girl dressed in the sweetest outfits. She may not be walking yet, but she was already serving major camera-ready vibes.

While I did miss seeing their wiener dog (a true legend in my book), the focus this time was all about their little girl. It’s always so cool to watch a family grow, and capturing these kinds of milestones is one of my favorite things about being a San Diego photographer.

Then came the candid moments—Dad holding his baby girl high in the air, her giggles practically audible through the photos. Mom cuddling her close while the ocean breeze played with her hair. And, of course, those sweet little in-between moments. That’s the magic of being a Coronado family photographer—those raw, real moments where love takes center stage—and why I’ll never get tired of being a San Diego beach photographer.

To the Boon family: thank you for letting me be part of your journey, again! Watching your family grow has been such a privilege, and your baby girl is an absolute delight. While I missed your dog’s cameo this time, I’m obsessed with this new chapter of your story.
