A Louisiana couple swapped the bayou for the breathtaking cliffs of Del Mar, CA, to seal the deal on their love story. The San Diego proposal took place at Sunset Seat in Del Mar—it’s one of those spots that feels like it was made for moments that matter. Perched on the cliffs, with the Pacific stretching out below, it’s the kind of place that makes you stop, breathe, and feel like the universe is giving you a little wink.

Jen and Lucas have been dating for a year. Not just any year, though—a year of purpose, of asking the big questions, of checking off those little boxes that turn “just dating” into “this might be forever.” They weren’t just looking for someone to split the Netflix bill with; they were hunting for that ride-or-die partner who gets it, who gets them.
