Partly cloudy happens to be my favorite weather conditions for taking family portraits on the beach. This day happened to be one of those that perfectly lends itself to documenting family love.

My dear sweet friends, the Nollens, had to move to Orlando, Florida for work but before they did, the entire family got together for family photos on the beach in Coronado. Some of them flew in all the way from Belgium. I never tire of the sand dunes near the Hotel Del Coronado. They make the perfect backdrop every time.

Synchronized swimmers and my photography just go together like chocolate and peanut butter (Reese’s are my favorite!). I took some photos of Tyler and Ali. The talent just oozes out of every pore.

You would be hard pressed to find a more fun loving group of people. The Bukey family has the honor of staying at the beach cottages on Crystal Pier, in Pacific Beach, every year. These spots are highly coveted because there are only 26 over the water cottages. They are booked, sometimes, years in advance. They have a tradition where they play duck duck goose and incorporated into their beach family photos this year. So fun!

Tasha found me by word of mouth. Nothing unusual there but she happens to live in Phoenix and heard about me because she was in an invitation shop and bumped into one of my previous clients who happened to be showing off her engagement photos. Tasha overheard, saw the photos and contacted me for her own engagement photos. They travelled all the way to San Diego and had their pictures taken in the dunes of Coronado. I’mo happy to be a part of something so special in people lives. I really LOVE what I do and hope it shows in my work. Congratulation Tasha and Josh!
