Eddie Bojorquez of Studio 512 invited me along to the wedding of Martha and Richard. This adorable couple married at the Sheraton Harbor Island Hotel. Although I was only there for a few hours, I managed to capture them at their finest hour. You can REALLY tell how in love these two are.

It’s always EXTRA special when I get to photograph my good friends’ wedding.
Joy and I have been friends for over 10 years. We met back when we were both dolphin trainers together.
Joy is the beautiful bride that has graced the cover of the elle.g blog for the last 2 years!!!
On Friday, she got to wear a wedding dress… for real this time!
The jewelery was special to her because it was her great Aunt Lillian’s.
Joy and Alex had their outdoor wedding ceremony at Seagrove Park in beautiful Del Mar, CA. They couldn’t have asked for a more a.m.a.z.i.n.g. day… 74 degrees and partly cloudy.

The reception was held at Alex’s parents house which was decorated to the “T”.
It was a fun and festive atmosphere with our friend Chris Lendenbach as DJ providing the right music to stir up some very entertaining dancing!
This is our 2nd wedding in 2 weeks that Micheal Bissett was the videographer. It’s always a fun time working with him! Joy is a film maker too. Check out the trailer to HER MOVIE HERE!
Lindy Donahue and Megan Nunnery did an outstanding job coordinating the wedding! Everything went off without a hitch. Time for a website girls!
I want to give a special thanks to Alex’s mother, Yolanda, for making sure we got to eat!!!!! ……Ross especially loved the authentic tacos at the end of the night.

I have been secretly wanting to photograph Mary since I first met her at SeaWorld, where we worked together a few years ago. I’m sure it was because of her gorgeous red hair, I just knew she would make a beautiful bride some day!
Well, that day has come!!!
Mary and Patrick got married on Sunday at The Bahia.
The Bahia sits right on the waters edge of Mission Bay. The ceremony was on the sand and the reception took place inside, at the Del Mar room. Check out some of my favorites
Since Mary is a former animal trainer, it was fitting that their dog would be involved with the wedding somehow. Lily was the ring bearer! She executed her part perfectly by running down the isle with a flower in her mouth. The rings were tied tightly to her collar, which proved a little difficult to untie during the ceremony.
What a beautiful day to have a wedding…blue skies with big puffy white clouds. My favorite!
We were fortunate to have the very talented Shannon of Studio Carre’ help us capture every possible moment and angle for Mary and Patrick. Thanks Shannon!

6:45 a.m!!!!! rise and shine, It’s time for a wedding!
You may remember our couple John and Dion from their amazing Yacht session HERE.
John and Dion packed a lot into their wedding day. We started off early near the grand ballroom area of the Manchester Grand Hyatt. It turned out to be a pleasant surprise because we ran into Elvis!
After seeing John and Dion off in a limo, it was a mad freeway dash, worthy of NASCAR competition, to beat the bride and groom to the church!
John and Dion were married at the First United Methodist Church in Mission Valley. A magnificent, awe inspiring church with grand architecture and multitudes of beautiful stained glass.
***To keep our 50 yards sprints to a minimum and capture every possible angle, we called on our friend and very talented photographer, Xavier Bailey, to lend a hand. Thanks Xavier!
Another white knuckle freeway ride to beat them to the reception!
The reception was held at the Manchester Grand Hyatt, on the KIN|SPA pool deck overlooking downtown and the harbor. This was a beautiful venue and steps away from their final destination, a cruise ship headed for Cabo Mexico!!!
Gibson, Do you want to go to Cabo?????
During the reception, you could hear the horn of the cruise ship beckoning the newly weds. John and Dion graciously invited a large group of their good friends and family to join them on the cruise! How cool is that?
They made a mad dash for the cruise ship with three photographers in tow to capture their final moments.
