Have you ever heard of the Marston House?
The property, which was originally built for George Marston and his family, became a house museum in 1987 after the Marston family gifted it to the City of San Diego. They just reopened it on July 23rd to the public. They need to raise awareness to begin funding the necessary work of restoration and refurnishing.
Eddie of Studio 512 invited me along to the wedding of Ruthann and Chris at the Marston House. Their wedding was outside in the garden and I thought it was absolutely perfect for a romantic wedding!
Ruthann and Chris decided to have a “First Look”. I can’t express how beneficial I think it is that the bride and groom meet up before the wedding!
What is a First Look?
A First Look is the idea of creating a moment before the ceremony where a couple meets for the first time, in their wedding attire, shortly before the ceremony begins. Everyone chooses to do it differently. I’ve found what is most popular is to go off somewhere…a little out of the way. So, it’s a moment truly between the two of you.
The day of your wedding can be a very hectic one. Usually things are planned out so much that the schedule doesn’t allow much time for portraits of the bride and groom. Having a First Look allows you to get the majority of the pictures done early and enables you to have more time to enjoy your guests!
The next 12 pictures were all taken BEFORE the wedding at Balboa Park and the Park Manor Hotel:
