The bride, Mary-Kevin, designed this entire wedding!!! I think she really needs to become a wedding coordinator. I just LOVED EVERYTHING! Well, actually, roses aren’t my thing but somehow she made them look magnificent too! I don’t think I’ve ever seen The Darlington House look better! Both the ceremony and reception were simple yet very elegant. I loved the small touches like professional calligraphy OR the lemonade drink stand at the ceremony. Simple luxuries….like the sun umbrellas and CHOCOLATE!!!!!
The bride was GORGEOUS with a simple peony in her hair. She was equally beautiful inside and out!

David, the groom, frantically calls me up a week before MY wedding and wants me to photograph his pending nuptuals that are happening in 4 days! I had decided to take off from work the week prior to my wedding because I was having family in town. So….I had the whole week off!!! Dave was in desperate need of a photographer and asks me if I can do it. I told him that there was NO way that I could because “I’M GETTING MARRIED TOO!!!!” (in those exact words and that exact inflection in my voice)… panic ensued. Ok OK…it wasn’t panic but I heard the severe disappointment in his voice. I just couldn’t say no and I’m so glad I didn’t turn him down! Dave and Willi were the SWEETEST couple on earth. It is both their second marriage and this time they decided to go it alone at the Hotel Del Coronado. It was a very simple ceremony…just the two of them. It was absolutely perfect and the weather couldn’t have been more beautiful. Having a small wedding like that just reminds you what a wedding should really be about….the two of you. I think a lot of the time we get so wrapped up in napkin colors, flowers and details, and making other people happy that we don’t take the time to realize what the day is really about….going before God to give your lives to one another.
Anyway, I applaud Willi and Dave for going about it the way they did. They also videotaped THANK YOU’s to all of their friends and family for being supportive of them and their relationship. The whole experience was just so sweet and I just know this relationship will last them a lifetime!! Thanks for having me!!!!
